CONCENTRATED CUSTOMS INSPECTION POINT : BREAK-THROUGH AND DIFFERENT SERVICE PROVIDED FOR IMPORTER AND EXPORTER IN TAN CANG – LONG BINH ICD.
Concentrated Customs Inspection Point is located within Long Binh ICD facilities
On March 10th 2010, the concentrated customs inspection point in Tan Cang – Long Binh ICD inaugurated and officially operated in accordance with Decision No. 206/QD-TCHQ of General Department of Customs, Ministry of Finance. This event marks an increase in high quality services provided for customers, brings favorable conditions to clear import and export cargoes as well as creates perfect connection network between port system, ICDs of Saigon Newport Holding Company.
Locate in favorable position with modern infrastructure and equipment for transportation by road and water in the Southern focal economic area and in Dong Nai province together with tight cooperation between Sub-department of Long Binh Tan Customs, the department of Dong Nai Customs, the concentrated customs inspection point locates in the proximity of Tan Cang – Long Binh ICD, which creates the area of clearance for import and export cargoes combined with the most modern and effective value added services in Vietnam.
With total area of 30,000 sqm, the concentrated customs inspection point allows more than 100 containers operating at the same time
The concentrated customs inspection point has the total area of 30,000 sqm in which the inspection warehouse is designed with high-dock system, convenient for inspecting containers which allows over 100 containers to be inspected at the same time. Further, professional and dedicated team of workers together with full-equipped equipment and X-ray machine system of the Department of Dong Nai Customs shall satisfy customers’ demand through reducing the time, costs for completing procedures, and increase operational capacity. The information technology system , CCTV with perfect IP, large band optical fiber link connecting with supervising system, and modern communication system of the Department of Dong Nai Customs shall speed up the flow of cargoes.
Beside the first X-ray machine installed in Hai Phong City, the second one in Cat Lai Port, The General Department of Customs shall invest the third in Tan Cang – Long Binh ICD and put in the concentrated customs inspection point at the end of 2010. This X-ray not only supports for clearance but also for cargoes exported into USA market, the only country in the world has requirement for imported cargoes scanned through X-ray machine.
In the coming time, the increase in demand for import and export cargoes, enlargement of trading market, the concentrated customs inspection point together with warehouse and container yard within port system of Saigon Newport Company shall bring the favorable conditions to improve the cooperation process, strengthen the investment from enterprises not only in Dong Nai market but also in other adjacent provinces in the Southern focal economic area.
